Hi everyone,

I am now nearly 1000km into my trip and have just crossed the border into Thailand having cycled through the beautiful Mekong Delta of Vietnam and through the fantastic highlands of Cambodia.

I hope that you are well and as you can see I have finally set off on my round the world cycle and so far it has been amazing.  In fact, I have been having so much fun that I haven’t actually written anything about it so apologies for this.

In a couple of days time I will arrive in Bangkok which is the capital of Thailand.  I plan to take a couple of days off the bike and have a bit of R&R.  I will be staying with the parents of a former student at the school where I used to work at in Ho Chi Minh City and so thank you to David and Clare Nevin for taking me in; I am definitely looking forward to a comfortable bed and a bit of sightseeing in Bangkok.

Whilst I have a couple of days off the bike in Bangkok I plan to catch up with my blog and so you should get some updates in the not too distant future.  In the meantime, I have added all of the videos that I have filmed so far to my website – click here – and I hope that these videos will give you a snapshot of life within the countries that I will have been privileged enough to cycle through.

From now on, each time I post a new video to my website you will also receive a notification so that you can ‘join’ me on my cycling adventures.  You can also find all of the videos from each country I cycle through on my Youtube channel by clicking here

Take care and for those of you who cycle – ride safe
